Abstract

Developments in information technology in the health sector impact the quality of healthcare services. Hospitals need to transform manual systems into information-based systems to provide more effective and efficient services. Patients have the right to access their medical record information for treatment or financial administration purposes. The procedures for releasing medical record information at Bekasi Regency Hospital are currently manual. This study aims to analyze, design, and build a web-based medical record release information system at the Bekasi Regency Hospital Medical Records Installation and implement it to provide more effective and efficient service for medical record information requests. The software development method used is waterfall software with the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. The implementation of the medical record release information system eliminates the need for patients or their families to come to the hospital to request the release of medical record information and can monitor the request status through the application. Hospital administrators also find it easier to display medical record release data.
