Abstract

The Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is a vital component in supporting health service operations, especially in managing BPJS patient inpatient registration. Al Ihsan Hospital implements a dual SIMRS system with unique characteristics that require in-depth evaluation. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of SIMRS in supporting the inpatient registration process of BPJS patients at Al Ihsan Hospital, identify factors that affect system performance, as well as their impact on operational efficiency. Methods: Qualitative research with a case study design was carried out for two months. Data collection was done through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation analysis. The research subjects were selected by purposive sampling involving three different respondents from officers directly involved in SIMRS operations. Results: The implementation of SIMRS showed significant effectiveness with a reduction in enrollment time from 15-20 minutes to 2 minutes per patient and a minimization of data entry errors by up to 95%. The volume of services increased from 4,500 to 6,000 patients per month with a high level of officer satisfaction. Conclusion: The dual SIMRS system has proven to be effective in improving operational efficiency and service quality despite network infrastructure challenges.
