Abstract

One of the parameters for determining the quality of healthcare services in hospitals is data or information from good and complete medical records. Indicators of good and complete medical records are completeness of content, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with legal provisions. Electronic Signatures (ES) are an important part of medical records, especially in inpatient summaries, which are one of the requirements for submitting BPJS claims. Incomplete ES can potentially cause delays in the claim submission process, which affects cash flow and hospital service efficiency. This study aims to describe the completeness of ES in inpatient records and its relationship with the timeliness of BPJS claim submissions at Hospital X. The method used was descriptive quantitative with data collection through document review of resumes and claim records for the period October to December 2024. The results show that there are still incomplete ES resumes, with the highest number in October at 276 medical records, November at 79 medical records, and December at 162 medical records. The percentage of incomplete ES claims is 15.97%, 4.85%, and 8.96% of the total number of claims, respectively. This incompleteness has the potential to cause delays in claim submissions. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve compliance with ES completion and strengthen the internal verification system to ensure that documents are complete before claims are submitted to BPJS.
