Analysis of the Positive Impact of EMR on the Resources of the Medical Record Installation at Azra Hospital
Abstract
The positive impact of the realization of Electronic Medical Records in the medical record installation of Azra Bogor Hospital has a positive impact on human resources, paper savings, efficient use of shelves and the operation of the unit. The focus of this study is to evaluate the positive effect of RME implementation on resources in the Medical Record Installation of Azra Bogor Hospital. The method used was a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation and documentation research. The results showed that the implementation of RME had a significant effect in reducing paper usage by 96%, increasing the efficiency of storage space by 82.15%, and reducing the number of storage shelves from 117 shelves to 4 shelves. In addition, there was a reduction in the number of staff from 14 people to 6 people, reflecting an increase in human resource efficiency by 57.14%. The implementation of RME also received full support from management, although there are some forms in the form of documents that are still in the process of switching to the electronic medical record system. Hopefully, this will improve the electronic medical record system to be more comprehensive. RME has positively contributed to the effectiveness of resources in the medical records installation, although it still requires continuous adjustment and training.
