Abstract

The implementation of information technology in health services is a crucial step in efforts to improve service quality, one of which is through the implementation of medical records. This study aims to examine the extent to which the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR) through the e-Puskesmas application affects the effectiveness of health services. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collection techniques including interviews with several respondents and participant observation, which were then analyzed to facilitate conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of EMR through the e-Puskesmas application plays a positive role in digital transformation, time efficiency, and supports clinical decision-making. However, several challenges and obstacles are still frequently encountered, including server disruptions during peak hours and limited digital literacy among some senior staff. This study concludes that the implementation of electronic medical records has a significant impact on the effectiveness of health services at the Tenjolaya Community Health Center. Nevertheless, the study recommends improving digital literacy and system enhancements to optimize the implementation of EMR through the e-Puskesmas application.
