Factors Inhibiting the Efficiency of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) in Reporting Health Data from TK.II 03.05.01 Dustira Hospital to the Health Office (Dinkes)
Abstract
Health data reporting is critical for supporting decision-making and evaluation in hospitals. The Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is designed to streamline and expedite the reporting process; however, its implementation still faces various challenges. This study aims to identify the factors that hinder the efficiency of SIMRS in reporting health data at TK.II 03.05.01 Dustira Hospital. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach through observation and interviews, the research uncovered several technical obstacles—such as unstable internet connectivity, system performance degradation during periods of high user activity, and discrepancies between SIMRS data and manual records. In addition, non-technical issues were identified, including a lack of employee discipline and limited technological literacy. The study concludes that improving infrastructure, providing regular training, and reinforcing standard operating procedures are essential steps toward optimizing SIMRS for health data reporting.
