COMPARISON OF HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS OF PREGNANT WOMEN IN TRIMESTER I AND TRIMESTER III IN IDENTIFICATION OF ANEMIA AT SERANG CITY PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER
Abstract
Hemoglobin is a red blood cell former that functions importantly in the transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the body. Cases of anemia in pregnant women if the hemoglobin level is <11gr/dl. The type of observational research uses secondary data from medical records with the criteria of hemoglobin levels, gestational age of the first trimester and the third trimester as many as 20 samples each. The average hemoglobin level of the first trimester is 11.10 gr/dl and the hemoglobin level of the third trimester is 11.28 gr/dl. The results of the paired-t-test obtained a P value of 0.587 witha > 0.05 showed no significant difference between the first and third trimesters, this is because pregnant women routinely check their pregnancy, consume foods rich in iron nutrients, supplement with iron tablets and reduce excessive activity.
