Abstract

This study aims to analyze outpatient service procedures and their impact on the quality of electronic medical record (EMR) services at RSUD Otto Iskandar Dinata. A descriptive qualitative approach was used for data collection. The data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document reviews. The results show that compliance with accurate data input in the electronic medical records and completeness of patient information is crucial. The efficiency of service procedures—starting from online registration or using self-service registration kiosks (APMs), medical examinations, and electronic documentation of patient data—has proven to improve the quality of patient services and accelerate service delivery. Key supporting factors include regular staff training, standardized Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), interdepartmental collaboration, and periodic internal evaluations. However, the main challenges involve system disruptions, staff adaptation to new systems, and high workloads during peak hours. In conclusion, efficient and standardized outpatient service procedures significantly contribute to improving the quality of electronic medical record services, which in turn positively impacts overall healthcare service quality.
