Evaluation of Suitability of Drug Storage System Antibiotics in Outpatient Pharmacy Deposits Umar Wirahadikusumah Regional Hospital
Abstract
Drug storage is an integral aspect of all pharmaceutical activities, both in hospital pharmacies and community pharmacies. One of the functions of drug supply management in the pharmacy depot is storage. This study aims to determine the antibiotic drug storage system at Umar Wirahadikusumah Regional General Hospital (RSUD Umar Wirahadikusumah). This research is descriptive in nature, employing an observational method and primary data collection through checklist forms and interviews. The results showed that the antibiotic drug storage system at RSUD Umar Wirahadikusumah falls within the compliant category based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No.72 of 2016 concerning Standards of Pharmaceutical Services in Hospitals. The compliance percentage of drug storage by dosage form was 90% for solid preparations, 85.71% for liquid preparations, and 80% for semi-solid preparations. Non-compliance in drug storage was found to be caused by suboptional storage facilities.
