Analysis of Registration Service Time to Support the Efficiency of Outpatient Flow at Pimping Health Center
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the duration of outpatient registration services to support the efficiency of patient service flow at UPTD Puskesmas Pimping. The research employed a quantitative descriptive approach, using purposive sampling involving 100 patients who registered over 14 working days. Data were collected through direct observation using a stopwatch, documentation, and limited interviews. The results showed that the average registration service duration was 9.14 minutes with a standard deviation of 3.840. Based on efficiency classification, only 32% of patients received efficient service (<5 minutes), while the rest were categorized as moderately efficient and inefficient. The main factors contributing to inefficiency included limited staff, manual record-keeping, and patients' lack of understanding of service procedures. This study recommends the digitalization of the registration system, patient education, and optimization of human resources to improve the efficiency of services in primary healthcare centers.
