Analysis of Readiness for the Implementation of Electronic Medical Records in the Bungin Branch Regional General Hospital
Abstract
The development of digital technology in society has led to a digital transformation. One example of this is in healthcare services, where manual medical records need to be managed electronically. The Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2022 concerning Medical Records states that all healthcare facilities must implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) no later than December 31, 2023. The purpose of this study is to determine the readiness for EMR implementation at Cabangbungin Regional Public Hospital (RSUD Cabangbungin) in West Java Province in the year 2025. The research was conducted at RSUD Cabangbungin, West Java Province, from March to May 2025. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations. The results of the study showed that, in general, RSUD Cabangbungin is ready for the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), as indicated by support in terms of technology and operational preparation. However, there is one aspect that does not yet support EMR readiness, namely the aspect of training.
