Abstract
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) have become an essential component of the modern healthcare system. However, the implementation of EMR also raises concerns regarding the security and confidentiality of patient data. This study focuses on the importance of managing the confidentiality of EMR in the digital era as part of patient privacy rights and the responsibilities of healthcare facilities. The advancement of digital technology in society has led to the transformation of healthcare services, necessitating the electronic organization of medical records with principles of data and information security and confidentiality. The implementation of EMR in healthcare facilities still encounters several challenges, including errors and weak connections. The objective of this study is to assess the security and confidentiality of EMR at RS Jiwa Islam Klender. The research method used is descriptive, with data collected through interviews and observations. The findings show that errors and weak connections are the primary issues faced in the implementation of EMR. Therefore, improvements and system development are required to enhance the security and quality of healthcare services.
