Abstract

This community service activity aimed to disseminate a research-based educational tourism learning module through training and mentoring activities for elementary school teachers at SD Inpres 1 Toboli, Parigi Moutong Regency. The activity was conducted as an effort to strengthen teachers’ competencies in developing contextual learning tools aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum and local environmental potential. The methods used included observation, training, mentoring, discussion, and evaluation with an andragogical approach. The training focused on the implementation of ecosystem-based educational tourism modules that had previously been developed through research activities. The results of the activity indicated that teachers demonstrated increased understanding and skills in designing contextual learning tools based on educational tourism. Teachers were also able to adapt learning materials to local tourism potential and students’ characteristics. In addition, the mentoring process encouraged teachers to develop more innovative and interactive learning activities. The dissemination of research products through community service activities contributed positively to improving the quality of contextual learning in elementary schools and encouraged the utilization of local wisdom as a meaningful learning resource
