Analisis Biaya dan Efektivitas Penggunaan Antibiotik pada Pasien Demam Tifoid Anak Rawat Inap di RSUD Pasar Rebo

Abstract

 Typhoid fever is a digestive tract infection caused by Salmonella typhi. Antibiotic therapy is a therapy used in the treatment of typhoid fever and the effectiveness of antibiotics is the achievement of the target of the desired drug effect so that it does not become resistant. Due to the high cost of typhoid fever treatment, a direct medical cost analysis calculation is needed that includes all costs directly related to health care. This study used a descriptive method with retrospective data collection at Pasar Rebo Hospital. The number of samples was 77 patients. The results showed that the most in male patients (51.94%) aged 6-11 years (42.85%) and the antibiotic therapies used were ceftriaxone, cefotaxime, cefixime and ampicillin. The average direct medical cost used for ceftriaxone therapy was IDR 2,784,443. In cefotaxime therapy it was IDR 3,722,461. In cefixime therapy it is Rp 2,927,171 and in ampicillin therapy it is Rp 3,390,337. The effectiveness results based on inpatient ceftriaxone and ampicillin have good effectiveness.
