Edukasi Hak dan Kewajiban Hukum Perdata melalui Program Pengabdian Advokat Kantor Hukum di Kecamatan Cianjur, Kabupaten Cianjur
Abstract
Abstract: The public's low understanding of civil law rights and obligations remains a problem that results in legal conflicts and losses. In Cianjur District, Cianjur Regency, various civil law issues such as family disputes, agreements, inheritance, and debts are often resolved informally due to limited legal literacy. This community service activity aims to increase public understanding and legal awareness through education on civil law rights and obligations by advocates from civil law firms. The method used is a community organizing approach with a qualitative-participatory strategy through observation, group discussions, informal interviews, counseling, and legal consultations. The results of the activity show an increase in legal understanding, changes in public attitudes towards dispute resolution, and increased public participation in utilizing legal services. This program strengthens the role of advocates as agents of education and legal empowerment for the community.
Abstrak : Rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap hak dan kewajiban hukum perdata masih menjadi permasalahan yang berdampak pada munculnya konflik dan kerugian hukum. Di Kecamatan Cianjur, Kabupaten Cianjur, berbagai persoalan hukum perdata seperti sengketa keluarga, perjanjian, warisan, dan utang piutang kerap diselesaikan secara informal akibat keterbatasan literasi hukum. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran hukum masyarakat melalui edukasi hak dan kewajiban hukum perdata oleh advokat kantor hukum perdata. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan pengorganisasian komunitas dengan strategi kualitatif- partisipatif melalui observasi, diskusi kelompok, wawancara informal, penyuluhan, dan konsultasi hukum. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman hukum, perubahan sikap masyarakat terhadap penyelesaian sengketa, serta meningkatnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan layanan hukum. Program ini memperkuat peran advokat sebagai agen edukasi dan pemberdayaan hukum masyarakat.
