Penguatan Identitas Lokal Melalui Pembangunan Tugu Desa Cahaya Mas Kec Sungkai Barat Kab Lampung Utara
Abstract
Abstract: Community Service Program (KKN) serves as a concrete manifestation of the university’s role in providing solutions to community issues. This article highlights the KKN activities in Cahaya Mas Village, Sungkai Barat District, North Lampung Regency, focusing on the establishment of a village monument as a form of strengthening local identity. The construction of the monument was expected to become a unifying symbol, improve the physical appearance of the village, and function as a cultural marker. The program was carried out using a participatory method that emphasized collaboration among students, local government, and the community. The findings revealed that the monument not only became a physical landmark but also strengthened the sense of belonging and collective pride of the residents. Therefore, the KKN program has a crucial role in empowering communities and promoting sustainable development through active community participation.
Abstrak: Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan wujud nyata kontribusi perguruan tinggi dalam membantu masyarakat melalui kegiatan yang terencana dan terarah. Artikel ini membahas pelaksanaan KKN di Desa Cahaya Mas, Kecamatan Sungkai Barat, Kabupaten Lampung Utara, dengan program utama berupa pembangunan tugu desa. Pembangunan tugu dimaksudkan sebagai simbol pemersatu, sarana memperkuat identitas lokal, serta memperindah lingkungan desa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif, di mana mahasiswa KKN bersama perangkat desa dan masyarakat terlibat dalam seluruh tahapan kegiatan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa tugu bukan hanya menjadi penanda fisik, tetapi juga lambang kebersamaan dan kebanggaan kolektif. Program ini membuktikan bahwa KKN berperan penting dalam mendorong partisipasi warga, memperkuat kohesi sosial, dan mendukung pembangunan desa yang berkelanjutan.
